Message from Mrs. Rach
A huge thank you to the families, volunteers, and sponsors who helped to make the Decathlon a successful and fun event for our students this year.  This day is one of our student's favorite days of the year; not only does it bring our students together, but it helps to bring our school community together.  As we continue to work towards strengthening our student/teacher and student/student relationships, we are thankful for the support of our Delafield and Cushing community!
Cushing News & Announcements
School Picture Retake Day - Tuesday, October 12
Empire Photography will be at Cushing on Tuesday, October 12th for our students who need their picture taken/retaken. Pictures will be taken in the morning and we will do our best to have them done before recess!

**If you would like your learner(s) to have their picture taken/retaken, please let their teacher and Mrs. Mirek ([email protected]) know.

Conferences
Connection, communication, and sharing feedback with our families is important to us.  It is our goal to have a growth conference with each of our learners' families to share progress updates and celebrations in the near future.  These growth conferences will be scheduled at 15-minute intervals.  These will be offered both in-person at Cushing and virtually through Google Meet.

There is no set day for conferences, rather, teachers will be organizing their own schedules for conferences via Sign Up Genius. Due to meetings and other conflicts, some teachers may have different times available. We will share Sign Up Genius links with families on 10/22.

Families who have multiple children and would like face-to-face conferences are encouraged to email Mrs. Mirek ([email protected]) between 10/19-10/21 to coordinate their conferences.  Teachers will be sharing pre-conference surveys in the near future to solicit parent input to maximize conference time.

Veteran’s Day
Veteran's Day is a time we remember and honor the men and women of our Armed Services. The staff and students at Cushing would like to honor current and past service members for Veterans Day. If you or a family member is/was a member of any service branch and would like to participate in a Veterans Day event at Cushing please complete this form.

Third grade students will be singing at this event. Third grade parents are invited to attend, in addition to any veteran that is a family member of a student at Cushing (any grade level). This event will take place the week of Veterans Day in the afternoon, but the exact date is TBD. More information will be coming soon. Please fill out the form and attach pictures of veterans in your family, whether they can attend or not. Thank you!
