Message from Mrs. Rach
We had a busy week full of lots of authentic and place-based learning experiences! Place-based experiences like field trips and guest speakers engage students in their community so that they can have a direct connection to the world around them.  They provide for a deeper level of authenticity and help to nurture learners to have a deeper interest in their learning.  This week alone, students went to Great Harvest, HAWS, Retzer Nature Center and also welcomed a local meteorologist to Cushing!  We’re always looking for connections to our community; if you have any ideas for us, feel free to reach out to me directly!

Spring Book Fair
We are excited to announce the upcoming Scholastic Spring Book Fair at Cushing. The fair will run from April 19th-22nd.  The fair is run by volunteers and we could use your help!

Volunteering is a fun way to help out with the event, meet new people and help students when purchasing items at the fair.  Volunteering will consist of being present at the book fair to help students and parents select books and also using the registers to check them out. Each shift is about 2 hours long. Book Fair Committee members will provide training and assistance to all volunteers.

We appreciate any time you can give at the fair.  Please use the link below to sign up for as many spots as you would like.
Thanks in advance for making this book fair a success for our students.
