Message from Mrs. Rach
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week.  Cushing Staff work so hard for our learners every day and next week is our chance to show them how much we appreciate them and to say “thank you.”  We are appreciative for the support from our parents and our Parent Teacher Organization to help celebrate this week.  Although we’re always thankful for our teachers, consider encouraging your child to think of a creative way to show thanks to their teachers next week.  We know they work hard every day to positively impact our learners and your child(ren).
Cushing News & Announcements
Kindergarten Welcome Night - Tuesday, May 24
An eVite was sent out to future 5K families this week. Please RSVP so we know how many people will join us for our 5K Welcome Night on Tuesday, May 24 – 5:00-6:00 in the Activity Center.

Not only will new & current families meet teachers, our principal, other Cushing staff, and future classmates...you will also learn about our Kindergarten program and how to help your child be ready for that first day!

PLEASE NOTE: If your kindergartner has older siblings at Cushing, it is appreciated if you and your child still attend. This is an important night for our teachers to get to know your child before school starts. Please call the Cushing Office at 262-646-6700 with any questions.

Teacher Appreciation Week—bring gift cards on Monday, May 2nd
Next week, May 2nd through May 6th, is Teacher Appreciation Week and we need your help to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate all they do for our children!!!!   We are looking for donations of gift cards of all kinds, in any denomination, and as many as you want to give.  Our plan is to have names drawn daily throughout the week and the staff that are picked will get to choose a gift card off of the “gift card tree.”

In addition to the gift cards, we would LOVE if you can have your child(ren) write a little thank you note or draw a nice picture for the staff.  We will hang all of those along the gift card tree.

Please send these to school in an envelope labeled to Mrs. Mirek, Staff Appreciation on Monday.

Let’s show the Cushing staff how much we love them with your generous gift card donations!!!

Direct any questions to Tara [email protected] or Terri [email protected].

Thank you from the Teacher Appreciation Committee!

For the 5th-grade parents, you will be hearing shortly from your child's teachers about their participation in the event and how we will be facilitating preparation for all of our MC's.   I know I have spoken with some of you already, but please continue to reach out with any questions to Cat Boland @ 773-816-0443, or via email at [email protected]
