What's your favorite accounting function you do in QuickBooks?   Some chores, of course, aren't so enjoyable: paying bills, reconciling your bank account or other things that reduce your checking account balance. However, t he process of receiving customer payments is one of my (and I'm sure your) more enjoyable functions. You supplied a product or service that someone liked and purchased, and you're posting that income. Depending on the situation, you'll use one of multiple methods to record customer payments.   Here's a look at some of your options

SUNSET - 2014 QB EXPIRING?
 
On May 31, 2017, Intuit will discontinue support for QuickBooks Financial Pro, Premier, QuickBooks for Mac 2014, and QB Enterprise 2014. You can continue to use these solutions, of course, but Intuit live technical support and add-on services like payroll, credit card processing, online banking and bill-pay are no longer accessible. We will continue to support all versions but recommend that you upgrade when you can.
