Cybersecurity was a highlight of the May 12 bill signings, where Governor Larry Hogan and the General Assembly’s presiding officers signed more than 100 bills into law.

Counties supported and helped shape the hard-fought cybersecurity bills, which dedicate needed resources and streamline collaboration, communication, and coordination to help lead local governments, school systems, and critical infrastructure toward a more cyber-secure future. The afternoon also included the multi-year Highway User Revenue funding, providing a significant influx of local roadway funds to address a longstanding county need. Conduit Street has your coverage, with background on the cyber package and its help for county governments.
