SEPTEMBER2025

As design businesses embrace more tech—from rendering software to client portals—cybersecurity has become a mission-critical concern.

Firms are increasingly targeted by phishing scams, malware, and data breaches that can expose client information, disrupt projects, and cost thousands per incident. For small studios, the fallout can be fatal.

You don’t need to be a tech expert to stay safe. Start with the basics: keep software updated, use strong passwords, encrypt sensitive data, and train your team. Limit who can access client files and build trust by being transparent about your data practices. In a field built on detail and trust, cybersecurity is now part of your design foundation.
