Cycling 101 for Women
Thursday, June 13,  6:30 - 9:00 PM

Champaign Cycle  506 S. Country Fair Dr., Champaign, 217-352-7600

Join us Thursday, June 13, 2013 for an evening of informational cycling seminars and instruction to improve your cycling pleasure and performance.  This event is specifically meant to address women's needs in cycling.  To this end we are limiting attendance to women only.  We have tailored the topics and presenters to address the specific issues that women have in cycling.  Regardless whether you're a causal rider, a long distance touring rider, or a performance rider there will be information of value to you.  The topics will include:

HAVE A FIT... BICYCLE FIT FOR WOMEN -  Presented by Jerry Keen
Proper fit on your bicycle is very important for comfort and performance.  Women have more fit issues than men since the industry has traditionally designed for men.  There are more bicycle designs and equipment which are women specific, but still more needs to be done.  Particularly when it comes to the equipment you already have.  Learn what proper fit is, how it can improve your cycling experience, and how to optimize your bike.

CLOTHING & SADDLES FOR COMFORT, FASHION, AND PERFORMANCE

Presented by Ashley Young
Women's specific design is important in bicycles and it is just as important in clothing.  From head to toe we will explain the value of bicycling specific clothing and how it can address problems that you may be experiencing so you can get the most out of cycling.  Cycling clothing is fashion and function.  Understand how it works and how you benefit from proper design.

FLAT CHANGING 101 - Presented by John Bryniarski & Jaime Kelleher

John and Jaime are experienced mechanics and have many years of touring and racing experience.  They also have many years experience in flatting tires.  Since flats are most riders biggest worry, and the most common mechanical problem, they'll show you how easy it really is to overcome this common hurdle. This is a hands-on experience where you will change a tube.   ___________________________________________________________________________

Please RSVP to reserve a place

Please call 217-352-7600 or email Cycling101@champaigncycle.com and register for this free seminar.  We've gotten great reviews from people who have previously attended Cycling 101 and it's been fun for us.  If you attended before it would be a repeat of the information.  We are limiting attendees so that we can answer any questions and have time to present the hands-on flat changing segment.
