Bowling
The regular Bowling season came to a positive end on Tuesday, October 27th. We are super proud of both our teams. Our boys team placed 5th in the District with a super bright future and our girls finished 4th in the District.

Another positive is Payton Vogel who bowled a 611 series to place 1st overall in the District for the girls and Christopher Falcon Medina who bowled a 617 series and placed 2nd. Both Payton and Christopher will be representing the Cypress Creek Bowling Bears to compete against the Top Bowlers in the State this week. Good luck Payton and Christopher!!

Monday's Motivational Moment!
7 Habits from U.S. Navy SEALs that can benefit our Bears in high school and later in life.

1. Be loyal. Examples of loyalty can be found in keeping your promises with friends and teammates. If you make a commitment, stick to it.

2. Put others before yourself. At CCHS we offer a large number of clubs and sports opportunities for our Bears. We also have community service projects students can get involved in. Make sure to continually reflect upon how you can do your part to support your club, your team, or the community using your unique talents and skills.

3. Learn from your mistakes. We all make mistakes; that's part of life. But make sure you review them thoughtfully so they are not repeated.

4. Stay organized. Some people are really good of this and some are not, but find a process that works for you. Be prepared the evening before for each school day, get a good night's rest, and be ready to go before 1st period.

5. Assume you don't know enough. Keep learning. This is very true when it comes to the SEAL teams, and it's also true for any one person. With the SEALs, they constantly work on developing their knowledge and skills to provide the momentum for their team's forward progress.

6. Never get comfortable. Always push yourself outside of your comfort zone. If you do this continually with every task you take on, that boundary will continue to widen. This process will ensure that you are continually maximizing your potential, which will positively impact you and others throughout life.

7. Never, never, never give up. There's a 75% attrition rate among those who join the Navy SEALs - what the other 25% have is persistence. If you want something bad enough, you have to work hard and put in the effort. Major obstacles will crop up in life. When they do, remind yourself that you can do do it . . . you need to overcome obstacles, not avoid them.
