Central Ohio's Largest Irish-American Women's Organization
"American by birth, Irish by the grace of God!"
Dear Daughters of Erin Members,

Join us as we honor and celebrate the lives lost since March 15, 2020 at the Irish Community Bereavement Memorial at the Shamrock Club for Mass and celebration. See details below.

The Irish Quilt Wall Hanging Raffle has been postponed. We'll announce a date for the raffle at the September meeting.

Save the date, Sunday, Sept. 12 for the September membership meeting. We hope to return to St. Christopher in Trinity School. It will be wonderful to see everyone!

All are invited to the Irish Community Bereavement Committee Memorial at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Shamrock Club. Mass begins at 4 p.m. with Celebrant Msgr. John Kelly Cody.
If you are interested, set up at begins at 1 p.m., there is plenty to do to get the grounds, mass and food set-up, so come on down when you can and give us a hand. We will be watching the grounds throughout the night making sure trash is picked up and tables cleared. We will have people at the front information table to answer questions and direct people.
Please bring a dish to share with everyone, chair, table whatever you need to be comfortable outdoors. If you want to have your own picnic at your table please feel free to do so. If you would like to make a collage or any other memorabilia honoring your loved one to put around your outside area please do so. No beverages of any kind may be brought onto the Shamrock Club grounds.
The bar WILL NOT be open during mass. We ask those who are not attending the mass to please be respectful to those who are. Mass will be outside weather permitting.
At the end of mass please REMAIN in your seats. We would like one person representing a deceased name to gather after mass at the Irwin Academy Stage on the West side of the grounds for the candlelight vigil.  After the reading of the names we will have a toast “The Parting Glass.”

I know you’re thinking, I am in mass, how will I be able to get a shot? No worries we got you covered. Thanks to Past President Pat Byrne 2001 we will be sharing his creation of Irish Whiskey - BUA! The Irish Community is very proud to serve this fine whiskey and share it with all of you on this most important night.
We are honored to have the Shamrock Club Pipes & Drums as part of our celebration.
After the service we will eat. The committee, thanks to the generous donation of all the Irish Organizations will provide sandwiches, some salads, dessert etc. We ask you to bring anything you would like to share with us. We are trying to stay away from hot dishes due to overloading the electric. Some ideas: cheese plate, veggie tray, tossed salad, any salad, baked beans, appetizers, desserts, snacks of any kind.
The wonderful Hooligans have kindly donated an hour of fun so that will be happening around 6 p.m.
The Shamrock Club has music at 8 p.m. featuring Achill Crossing, so stick around and enjoy!

We are grateful to Cardo's Pizza & Tavern and friends of the Lynch family for partnering on the 2021 Cardo’s Charity Golf Scramble. Thank you to all members and businesses who sponsored the event! Special thanks to the members who coordinated the sponsor signs and volunteered at the event.
