SUNDAY, JUNE 13 MEMBERSHIP MEETING

ZOOM MEETING INSTRUCTIONS

All members are encouraged to attend the meeting via Zoom. A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining a Zoom meeting as a participant. If you do not have access to a computer, you can also call in (see below).

HOW TO ACCEPT A ZOOM INVITATION

Click here to join the May Zoom Membership Meeting or follow the instructions below.

  • Open any web browser from a desktop or laptop computer (Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, etc.) and install the free Zoom program from zoom.com, or install the free Zoom app on your phone. You can practice by clicking join a test meeting once zoom is installed.
  • Write down the Meeting ID 843 3226 0578 and Password 123456 on a piece of paper.
  • Join the Zoom meeting from here https://zoom.us/join and click the “Join Meeting” button.
  • When prompted, enter the Meeting ID: 843 3226 0578, then click join.
  • Click Open Zoom Meeting in the small dialog box (if you see one) or press click here to launch the meeting.
  • When prompted, type in the Password: 123456 and join meeting
  • Click join with video. You should see yourself on the screen. Then click join with computer audio. Make sure your sound and microphone are on.

Congratulations! You are in the meeting.

You can test this before joining our Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device! Download the free Zoom app from https://zoom.us/download, then visit https://zoom.us/test, in advance, to familiarize yourself with Zoom and check to make sure the audio and video work.

If you do not have access to a computer, you can also call in. On your phone, dial 1-646-558-8656
Enter 843 3226 0578 when prompted.
When asked for participant id just enter #.
You will be asked for the password. Enter 123456.
You should be in the meeting.

Feel free to try this online or by phone before the meeting time to make sure you can get in and to test your sound and microphone. Follow the instructions.

Please note: All members will be muted during the meeting so that Committee members can give their reports. You will be able to use the chat function to ask a question or make a comment. CHARITY DONATIONS

We are collecting socks for the homeless of all ages. If you see them on sale, please share with members. Cheryl is coordinating a way for you to purchase online or drop off to her. Watch for updates this summer.

We will be collecting pajamas for children for the The Brian Muha Memorial Foundation, Inc./The Run The Race Club in the fall. Watch for sales on pajamas for children and pajama pants and t-shirts for teens this summer.

2021 GOLF OUTING - hosted by CARDO'S PIZZA & TAVERN

We are grateful to Cardo's Pizza & Tavern and friends of the Lynch family for allowing us to partner with them on their 2021 golf outing! We appreciate sharing the opportunity for the outing to benefit the Daughters of Erin and the Pickerington Food Pantry!

We are selling hole sponsorships for the outing for $100 each. Please send information, payment and what you want on your sign, to Sharon Selby by Friday, June 25.

We are also in need of door prizes (focused for men - items like gift certificates, a sporting event, etc.) for the outing. If you or someone you know or a business is interested in donating, please contact Sharon Selby at 614-595-2010.
2021 QUILT WALL HANGING RAFFLE

We are raffling off an Irish Quilt Wall Hanging this year. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Special thanks for the beautiful, hand-made quilt donation from Carolyn Collins. The raffle drawing will be held at the September meeting.

PRAYER LINE

Please keep our members and those on the prayer list in your thoughts and prayers. Please also pray for Paul Tisdale, Sr. Mary Pat Gallagher, Chris Konik, Lois O'Reilly and Jacki Corr.

May love and unity surround all people. May all be healed, especially those affected by the coronavirus. We also pray for all those in the military, police, healthcare workers and our government leaders.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Annual membership dues are $10 for Junior members (under 18 years of age) and $20 for Regular members (ages 18-79).

Honorary members, age 80 and over, although you do not have to pay dues, we ask that you still complete a membership form.

We are selling 2020 and 2021 Daughters of Erin Badges. All badges are $1 each or you can purchase a bag of 10 or 25 badges.

IRISH COMMUNITY BEREAVEMENT MASS & WAKE

Save the date, Saturday, Aug. 28. The Irish Community Bereavement Committee is hosting a Mass and Wake at the Shamrock Club to honor and celebrate the lives lost since March 15, 2020.

Families are asked to make collages, pictures or whatever they want to celebrate their loved ones. If you lost a loved one during the past year, please send their name to Mary Strickland at themightymary@gmail.com.

We will begin at 4 pm with Mass and a candle lighting to honor those we lost.
The Committee will supply the main foods and have asked people to bring a dish to share.
