Happy Summer! I hope you're enjoying time with friends and family! We are preparing for the 2021 Cardo's Charity Golf Scramble. We are very pleased to be one of the charitable organizations which will benefit from this event. Please review the update below. There is a big need for golf outing raffle prizes. We appreciate donations!
The Irish Quilt Wall Hanging Raffle is underway, see the photo and information below.
The best news is that we will be able to return to St. Christopher's in September for our meetings. It will be wonderful to see you then!

2021 GOLF OUTING - hosted by CARDO'S PIZZA & TAVERN
We are grateful to Cardo's Pizza & Tavern and friends of the Lynch family for allowing us to partner with them on their 2021 golf outing! We appreciate sharing the opportunity for the outing to benefit the Daughters of Erin and the Pickerington Food Pantry! The outing is Saturday, July 10.
We are in need of door prizes (focused for men - items like golf, bbq or gardening equipment, gift cards, tickets for a sporting event, etc.) for the outing. If you, someone you know or a business is interested in donating, please contact Sharon Selby at 614-595-2010.
If you didn't sponsor a hole for the outing, contact Sharon Selby ASAP, there may still be time to order a sign.

2021 QUILT WALL HANGING RAFFLE
We are raffling off an Irish Quilt Wall Hanging this year. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Special thanks for the beautiful, hand-made quilt donated and made by Carolyn Collins. The raffle drawing will be held at the September meeting.

CHARITY DONATIONS
We are collecting socks for the homeless of all ages. If you see them on sale, please share with members. Cheryl Costello is coordinating a way for you to purchase online or drop off to her. Watch for updates this summer.

PRAYER LINE
Please keep our members and those on the prayer list in your thoughts and prayers. Please also pray for the family of member Betsy VanHeyde who passed suddenly, Kevin Burke, Dell Koch, Annie Graves, Ryan Graves, Paul Tisdale, Sr. Mary Pat Gallagher, Chris Konik and Lois O'Reilly.
May love and unity surround all and be healed. We also pray for all those in the military, police, healthcare workers and our government leaders.

MEMBERSHIP DUES
Annual membership dues are $10 for Junior members (under 18 years of age) and $20 for Regular members (ages 18-79).
Honorary members, age 80 and over, although you do not have to pay dues, we ask that you still complete a membership form.

IRISH COMMUNITY BEREAVEMENT MASS & WAKE
Save the date, Saturday, Aug. 28. The Irish Community Bereavement Committee is hosting a Mass and Wake at the Shamrock Club to honor and celebrate the lives lost since March 15, 2020.
Families are asked to make collages, pictures or whatever they want to celebrate their loved ones. If you lost a loved one during the past year, please send their name to Mary Strickland at themightymary@gmail.com.
The event will begin at 4 pm with Mass and a candle lighting to honor those we lost.
The Committee will supply the main foods and have asked people to bring a dish to share.

Signing up or registering your account is easy to do. The best part is that YOU still receive your Kroger rewards (coupons, fuel perks, etc) but behind the scenes, the Daughters of Erin receives a percentage of what you spend at the Kroger Store.
