Dear Daughters of Erin Members,
Only a few days until St. Patrick's Day, a very different St. Patrick's Day! Hopefully, next year will be more normal!
This year, Saint Patrick's Day Mass is at 9:30 a.m., but there are only 3 seats left for members due to the size of the church. Please text or email me immediately if you would like one of those seats. My cell is 614-205-8814 or email mckoprs@yahoo.com. Mass will be live-streamed on the Saint Patrick Church Facebook page.
Join us tomorrow March 14 for the membership meeting at 2 p.m., via Zoom to hear about our upcoming Easter bake sale and more.

SUNDAY MARCH 14 MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The March meeting will be held via Zoom, Sunday, March 14 at 2 p.m.
ZOOM MEETING INSTRUCTIONS
All members are encouraged to attend the meeting via Zoom. A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining a Zoom meeting as a participant. If you do not have access to a computer, you can also call in (see below).
HOW TO ACCEPT A ZOOM INVITATION
Click here to join the March Zoom Membership Meeting or follow the instructions below.
- Open any web browser from a desktop or laptop computer (Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, etc.) and install the free Zoom program from zoom.com, or install the free Zoom app on your phone. You can practice by clicking join a test meeting once zoom is installed.
- Write down the Meeting ID 883 8167 4295 and Password 123456 on a piece of paper.

Join the Zoom meeting from here https://zoom.us/join and click the “Join Meeting” button.
- When prompted, enter the Meeting ID: 883 8167 4295, then click join.
- Click Open Zoom Meeting in the small dialog box (if you see one) or press click here to launch the meeting.
- When prompted, type in the Password: 123456 and join meeting
- Click join with video. You should see yourself on the screen. Then click join with computer audio. Make sure your sound and microphone are on.
Congratulations! You are in the meeting.
You can test this before joining our Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device! Download the free Zoom app from https://zoom.us/download, then visit https://zoom.us/test, in advance, to familiarize yourself with Zoom and check to make sure the audio and video work.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can also call in. On your phone, dial 1-646-558-8656
Enter 883 8167 4295# when prompted.
When asked for participant id just enter #.
You will be asked for the password. Enter 123456#.
You should be in the meeting.
Feel free to try this online or by phone before the meeting time to make sure you can get in and to test your sound and microphone. Follow the instructions.
Please note: All members will be muted during the meeting so that Committee members can give their reports. You will be able to use the chat function to ask a question or make a comment. DAUGHTERS OF ERIN BAKE SALE & EASTER GOODIES
We are planning a Bake Sale fundraiser for Easter weekend - the usual day of our Easter event.
Please consider making items for our drive-thru Bake Sale at The Shamrock Club of Columbus on Saturday, April 3. We are asking for at least 10 bakers in each category. We need 2-3 dozen cookies or Easter goodies or type of homemade candy from each baker. We do not need scones!
Please review the categories (cookies, breads, brownies and candies) on Sign-up Genius and click on the button to sign up. Please sign up no later than Tuesday, March 16 so we can know how many items we will receive.
Watch for the Daughters of Erin Drive-Thru Bake Sale information on Sign-up Genius after Saint Patrick's Day! We'll be selling scones, assorted cookie plates and breads to be picked up Saturday, April 3.
Items can be dropped off at the club after 6 p.m., Thursday, April 1 (while the Dart Leagues are playing or Friday, April 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. If you need other pick-up or drop-off arrangements, please contact Sharon Tantes, 614-361-8590. Thank you!

MEMBERSHIP DUES
Annual membership dues are $10 for Junior members (under 18 years of age) and $20 for Regular members (ages 18-79).
Honorary members, age 80 and over, although you do not have to pay dues, we ask that you still complete a membership form.

Nominations for the Board will be presented at the April meeting.
The elected offices are: President, Vice President, Secretary and three board delegates.

Nominees should have a bio that will be read at the April meeting and published in the April newsletter.

2021 CHARITY DONATIONS
We are continuing to collect new or gently used children books for an ongoing donation to Franklin County Job & Family Services. The books are given to children of families that are in great need. Please contact Cheryl Costello at 614-774-8879 for pick-up or drop-off arrangements.
Cheryl reports if you have old. gently-used suitcases, foster children need them when they arrive or leave their new home. Please contact Cheryl for details.

PRAYER LINE
Please keep our members and those on the prayer list in your thoughts and prayers. Please also pray for Susan Broon and Sophie. Please pray for member Nancy Bush who unexpectedly lost hear husband a few weeks ago. We pray for all our members during this season, especially those who have passes during the past year.
May love and unity surround all people. May all be healed, especially those affected by the coronavirus. We also pray for all those in the military, police, healthcare workers and our government leaders.

Thank you ladies for shopping at Kroger and choosing to benefit the Daughters of Erin. Last month, we received more that $88. This money is raised from Kroger Cards registered through Kroger Community Rewards.
Signing up or registering your account is easy to do. The best part is that YOU still receive your Kroger rewards (coupons, fuel perks, etc) but behind the scenes, the Daughters of Erin receives a percentage of what you spend at the Kroger Store.

CLANN NA NGAEL UPDATES
Saint Patrick's Day
9 a.m. Process to Mass. Mass seating is reserved for the Shamrock Club past presidents and officers of the other organizations. All seating will be spaced out and overflow seating (40 max) will be available in Aquinas Hall where the Mass will be simulcast.
There is no parade and or Irish Family Reunion.
4 p.m. Shamrock Club opens, there is a $5 cover charge. Seating may be limited due to continued restrictions. All social distancing protocols will be followed.
