Joining a Toastmasters club can be a big step for many and the turning point to a new outlook on our true potential. One can consider their club like a second family. We grow together via feedback, share moments together through our speeches and Table Topics, even socialize outside of the club meeting time. And just like in every family, we need to step out of that homey comfort to live life fully.
This is what I experienced when I joined my home club: the sense of security from a second family in a “public speaking home”. I was setting my goals and did my best to achieve them year after year.
I truly experienced the full benefits and the power of Toastmasters once I stepped outside of that “home”, first to
another club. This opened a whole new set of opportunities that I did not know were available, because I had stayed “at home” the entire time. It triggered new outlooks on my speech mechanics, new perspectives for my evaluations, and creative new ideas for Table Topics. All this, by stepping outside of my club and visiting other clubs, attending District Events like the

. That lead me to meet influencers who shared their experience, so I did not have to make the same mistakes and was able to grow faster.
This resulted in greater exposure at work, and new assignments that were unexpected (in a good way). At home, I now find myself able to handle situations in a manner that I would not have considered just a few months prior.
So why not you? Why not going
