Barrington 220 weekly COVID-19 update
March 29, 2021

Dear Barrington 220 Community:

We hope everyone had a great spring break! As of today all students across the district who selected in-person learning are able to attend school five days a week for the entire school day. All students who selected Distance Learning remain in that instructional model.

Please remember that even though the district has returned to full day instruction, our COVID-19 mitigation efforts are still in effect. This means families must continue completing the COVID-19 Symptom Screening each day before school and events such as lunch look much different compared to a normal school year. Quarantine Reminders
As a reminder, any student in grades 6-12 who needs to quarantine due to travel is able to do concurrent instruction from home, as our secondary teachers are teaching students in the classroom and students who are at home concurrently (at the same time).

All elementary students who are quarantining due to travel can use sick days, which will be marked as EXCUSED absences. As we have provided in the past, elementary students who must quarantine upon return to the state, or upon illness or COVID-19 exposure, will be allowed to learn concurrently. If you have any questions, please contact your school office.
Upcoming Board of Education meeting
The next regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting is Tuesday, April 6 at 7pm. The meeting will be held in person at the District Administrative Center.

The number of people in the room will be limited to 50, as suburban Cook County and Lake County are in Phase 4 under the State’s Restore Illinois Plan. The livestream of all meetings are viewable via the Board's YouTube channel.
