Author Event with Taryn Hutchison
at The Morganton Community House
Thursday, November 19th @ 6:00pm ($5-$16/person)

Local author Taryn Hutchison joins us as we celebrate the launch of her YA historical fiction novel, One Degree of Freedom. Set in Romania during the Cold War, this story follows Adriana as she navigates her love of literature and her journey to follow her dreams with family expectations influenced by governing rules. With an excellent cast of supporting characters, the story offers historical details while taking readers along to solve a mystery that becomes more dangerous than Adriana could ever have imagined.
While the target audience is Young Adult (usually ages 14+), the novel is absolutely appropriate in content for middle grades readers as well.

This event will have an in-person option with socially distanced seating and an online option. For the in-person event, properly worn PPE masks will be required. Seats will be limited so get your ticket early!
Your $5 ticket reserves your seat and will be credited to your purchase of a book at the event. If you choose not to purchase a copy of the book, your $5 will be converted to store credit for you to use when shopping at Adventure Bound Books (in store or online). "It's a Klinker" Last Chance Complimentary Wine Tasting
at Craft'd
Friday, November 20th 5:30-8:30pm

This is it before T-Day, and we're going out with a KLINK (or, CLINK)!

Featuring three a-MA-zing pours from Klinker Brick Winery in Lodi, California:
Klinker Brick Albarino 2019
Bright, fresh acid-driven wine perfect for hot days by the pool and perfectly paired with any seafood dish. Strikingly floral aromas with hints of lychee. A mid palate richness and mouthwatering acidity enhance flavors of white store fruit, fleshy peach and spring melon flavors. The finish is clean with notes of lemon and apricot.

Klinker Brick Rosé 2019
Mouthwatering notes of white peach and strawberry lead into a crisp and refreshing texture that integrates subtle acidity with a balanced and slightly generous mid-palate. This wine retains an exceptional balance of freshness and aromatics, while still providing a dry finish. Blend: 40% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah, 18% Carignane

Klinker Brick Old Vine Zinfandel 2016
We’ve had this on tap since we opened! It remains a fan favorite.
This wine puts bold, spicy, flashy oak at center stage, and introduces a good supporting cast of gorgeous blackberry and black-plum flavors. Firm tannins lend support and balance out the performance nicely. Wine Enthusiast: 90

Klinker Brick’s flagship Zin uses fruit from 55- to 120-year-old vines in 16 different hand-picked blocks. This is a full-throttle bottle, packed with big, bold concentrated dark fruit, sweet spice and a lovely swirl of mocha with just a dash of black pepper on the finish. Decanter: 90

Complimentary, as always. Tastings are tableside; c'mon in when you're ready.
Due to COVID-19, occupancy is limited, but we do our very best to accommodate everyone.
Feel free to bring snacks/dinner with you, but please dispose of your own trash.
