Recycled Art Showcased At D.R. Hill
Advanced art students at D.R. Hill Middle School are all smiles this week! They have just completed a piece of installation art for their school. From afar it looks like their school mascot: a tiger. But, upon taking a closer look, viewers are finding that it is actually made with a myriad of recycled art materials.
Art teacher, Mrs. Parris, collected dry markers and pens, and short pencils and colored pencils for the last two years. The students thought about creating a landscape with these materials, but that seemed a little too easy. They decided to do a tiger instead. It is a fun, lovely, unique piece of art that students and teachers will enjoy for years to come.
Keep up the great work, D.R. Hill students!
