at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto will
remain closed for the duration of the COVID-19 shutdown
of this campus. As a result, our regular consultation hours are cancelled until further notice.

DAAD's
Short-Term Research Grant
supports stays in Germany by PhD candidates and recent postdocs for between 1 and 6 months. These grants are open to scholars working in any field of study. PhD applicants must be at the ABD ("All but dissertation") stage, while applicants with PhDs must have received this degree within four years of the application deadline.

full-time faculty at Canadian universities
the opportunity to apply for
support of a research visit to Germany of between 1 and 3 months in length
. This grant is open to faculty in all fields and provides a living allowance designed to offset expenses while in Germany. It does not include a travel allowance.

DAAD Program Suspensions
It is with great regret that DAAD has announced the cancellation of all activities connected with of two of its programs: the
University Summer Course Grant
and
RISE - Research Internships in Science and Engineering
(both RISE Germany and RISE Professional).
Developments related to the COVID-19 virus made this decision unavoidable. Scholarship and grant holders, as well as internship hosts, have been contacted regarding this decision.
