News from DAAD Canada
As the summer enters the homestretch, we write with news on several deadlines which come early in the upcoming fall semester. First up is DAAD's P.R.I.M.E. program to support recent PhD recipients wishing to take their first career steps with a German university; deadline here is August 31st. Bachelor and Master's level students with advanced German language skills may wish to look into the EMGIP-Bundestag Internship with its deadline of September 15th. Faculty can next submit applications for support of a 1-3 month Research Stays in Germany now to October 15th. Full details can be found below.

A la fin de l'été, nous vous écrivons avec des nouvelles sur les délais de candidature au semestre d'automne. Le premier délai de candidature est pour le programme P.R.I.M.E. du DAAD  qui offre du soutien aux diplômés de doctorat récents pour leurs premières expériences à une unversité allemande; délai de candidature: 31 août. Pour les étudiants de premier ou de deuxième cycle avec de très bonnes connaisances de la langue allemande qui souhaitaient faire un stage au Parlement allemand (EMGIP) ; délai de candidature 15 septembre. Les professeurs et chercheurs peuvent soumettre une candidature pour effectuer un séjour de recherche à partir de maintenant jusqu'au 15 octobre. Tous les détails se trouvent ici-dessous.

P.R.I.M.E. (Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience)

DAAD's P.R.I.M.E. program addresses postdocs of all nationalities, who wish to begin their academic careers at a German university. P.R.I.M.E. supports scholars for 18 months. The first 12 of the funding period are spent conducting research outside of Germany before the scholar returns to a German university for the rest of the grant period.

Expérience de mobilité internationale pour chercheurs post-doctoraux (P.R.I.M.E.)  

Le programme P.R.I.M.E du DAAD  s'adresse aux  post-doctorants  hautement qualifiés, de toutes nationalités et de toutes disciplines, qui voient leur future carrière en Allemagne, mais qui veulent d'abord passer un peu de temps à faire des recherches à l'étranger. Le soutien comprend une phase de 12 mois à l'étranger et une phase d'intégration de 6 mois au sein d'une université allemande, durant lesquelles les bénéficiaires occupent des postes de post-doctorants.

EMGIP-Bundestag Internship

EMGIP (Émigré Memorial German Internship Program) offers internship opportunities for U.S. and Canadian students in the German parliament, the  Bundestag .

Applicants are advanced Bachelor or Master's level students with excellent German language skills (both spoken and written). Interns often come from the fields of political science, IR, law, history, economics or German

Stage EMGIP Bundestag

EMGIP  (Émigré Memorial German Internship Program) offre aux étudiants américains et canadiens la possibilité de faire un stage au sein du Parlement allemand, le Bundestag. Le programme s'adresse aux étudiants du prermier ou deuxième cycle avec de très bonnes connaissances de la langue allemande (orale et écrite).

Research Stays for Faculty

DAAD's Research Stays for faculty supports visits to Germany by full-time faculty based at North American universities. These stays may run between 1 and 3 months in length and the progra is open to faculty from all fields.

Séjours de recherche  pour les universitaires et les chercheurs

Ce programme offre du soutien pour des séjours de recherche en Allemange aux chercheurs et professeurs à temps plein aux universités nord-américaines. Les séjours peuvent être entre 1 et 3 mois et le programme s'adresse aux chercheurs et professeurs de toutes disciplines.

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Fellowships

MSCA Individual Fellowships support the mobility of experienced researchers (with PhD or at least four years of research experience). The Fellowships provide North American researchers an opportunity to conduct research at a university, research institute or company in Europe.
