DACC Students and Families,

Our teachers held their annual Advisory Committee Meetings this week, and while holding a meeting may not sound exciting, these meetings have a powerful impact on our district. Business leaders from all over Central Ohio met virtually and in person to talk about how, together, we can provide the best possible experience to our DACC students. These professionals are invested in what a career tech education can provide to students, as well as how our students will have an impact on the future of their industries.

We value these business partnerships and appreciate our staff for the time they invest outside of the classroom to foster and maintain these professional relationships.

ASVAB Exam

DACC is giving any interested student (Juniors and Seniors) the opportunity to take the ASVAB exam at DACC on Thursday, October 25 at 8:00 a.m. in the Forum. The test usually takes 1.5-2 hours. (If you are a half-day senior, you can take the exam with us and we let your homeschool know.)

Students would take this for two reasons:

  1. As a career test. This is known as one of the best available to help decide a future career
  2. Military Service: This is required of any student considering the military after high school.

DACC does not report ASVAB scores.

Students can sign up with the following form:

Are You Interested in the Military

DACC works with a variety of military recruiters. These recruiters may be the same or different from homeschool recruiters and can ensure students are connected to the right person.

Students and parents can reach out to recruiters directly or contact the student's School Counselor for support.
