Weather Delays & Cancellations

As the weather begins to get colder, here are a few things to keep in mind and resources to keep on hand regarding weather delays and closures:

  • All of the information you need about what happens if DACC delays or closes, can be found on our website here.
  • When a delay or closure is called, we will send out a phone call, text, and email to the information we have on file for you. This is the information you provided during registration at the beginning of the year. We will also post the notice to the DACC website, social media platforms, and the local news stations.
  • While our associate schools often call a 2-hour delay, if DACC delays school, it could be a 1-hour or 2-hour delay, depending on the weather conditions and how much time buses need to safely transport students.
  • DACC students come from all over Delaware County and surrounding areas, which means the weather you're experiencing may not be the weather other students are experiencing. If your home school calls a delay or closure and DACC is running on time, you may follow your home school's schedule.

As much as we can, we want to keep kids coming to school, but we will make the decision that keeps safety at the forefront for our students, families, and staff.

School Spirit Apparel Store

DACC now has an online school spirit store where you can purchase your favorite clothing items and accessories and have them delivered directly to your home. Most designs can be customized to include your lab name or our vision to empower, prepare, inspire, and connect all students.
