THE WORD, JESUS
ARE SYNOMOUS

Spirit of Life Ministries has a passion to teach and equip the saints so that they will understand scripture and be able to know how to be a witness for Jesus Christ.

We do not charge for this school, although many similar schools charge a lot of money. We know many could never afford the teachings if they cost money.

We want to thank those that do support us with their giving, which enables those that can't to be able to be students.

PSALM 37:4-7a

One of the Bible verses I love and committed to memory years ago is Psalm 37:4. Since our English translations are somewhat limited at times in the scope of its meanings, I have consulted Strong’s Concordance for the original and essential meanings of the Hebrew words. Having studied them under counsel of Holy Spirit, here is how I see Psalm 37:4-7a. I will write it in the paraphrase that is given to me.

Verse 4: Be soft and pliable (delight) in (the hands of) the LORD, and He shall give you the requests (desires or petitions) of your heart.

Verse 5. Roll with the LORD. Put your full and absolute confidence in Him, and He shall bring to pass what He has in store for you….

Verse 6: …which is your righteousness in Him like the light of day, and your verdicts like the brightness of the noonday sun.

Verse 7a: Be astonished with Him; dance with Him.

This paraphrase gives a very different feeling than the many various English translations, yet it is entirely within the scope of meanings derived from the original words, and with the expanded “eyes” of Holy Spirit, our Counselor and Teacher.

TENDERHEARTED

One of the greatest things I see about Jesus was his compassion for those that were hurting. Be it prostitutes, tax collectors, sick people, or a Peter that denied him, He had compassion.  In Ephesians 4:32 it says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

The word tenderhearted means to have compassion. A compassionate heart will look into another’s soul and see the hurt and offer love through action. It will never deliberately hurt another person. It takes the hand of the helpless and guides the steps of the wanderer. It has sympathy yet helps the suffering person to find the life preserver that pulls them out of the depths of despair.

Often preachers come across harsh in their messages, leaving no comfort for the hurting. Compassionate people don’t leave someone without hope. Jesus often was harsh to the religious people that had no compassion.

Why would Paul tell us to be tenderhearted? I sense he had been the opposite in his dealings with what he thought was justified by the law. I think he had seen what a heart of zeal without love could do to a person, and when he recognized this sin, it humbled him. He shared this to help those of us that are a little rough on others to recognize that compassion helps much more than criticism.

A tenderhearted person shows the hurting the way out of their hurt, but they do it with love. Love doesn’t want someone to stay “under” their circumstances. It reaches down like Jesus did and pulls them out and sets them on the solid rock.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

In these days that we are living in we must maintain our faith by spending time studying the word of God. Speak it out loud as you read it. Faith comes by "hearing" the Word of God. Each time you read it out loud your faith is increased. We also build ourselves up by praying in tongues. Jude tells us this, and also says it builds us up in the love of God. Had a bad day? Then pray in tongues to rebuild up yourself! As we get closer and closer to the Lord's return, we must stay "supercharged" to defeat depression, the enemy's tormenting lies in our ears, and the plague that has taken many down. The only answer is to live by faith. When all is said and done, and the power may be down, the internet may be down, the family deserts you, you still have Jesus my friends. He will sustain you through the days that are coming. You have his word on it. He said He would never leave you nor forsake you. Be blessed

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Be at peace...For even in the midst of the storms that abound; God takes His own to higher ground. Just know that nothing or no one can stop what God’s gonna do; In the lives of His children and that means you too. If you look closely then you will see; The tides are now turning for you and for me. You’re soon approaching an unexpected new day. It’s a season you patiently waited for while others moved ahead; But now tides are turning for you instead. No one can stop what God’s gonna do; For He’s long since told you what He would do for you. Yes, the seasons are changing and things are turning around in your behalf. Now you’ll be the one who has the last laugh. So come on and pick yourself up; Have you not had enough of that bitter cup? Yes, it’s time for you to step away from and leave all of yesterday’s pain...Then watch God pull you through it all and not leave a stain. So rise and shine and give God some praise; Because the tides are now turning for you by the Ancient of Days.
