If we were to describe Daniel's study in just a few words, those would be: amazing and challenging.
Learning about God’s precision in revealing the future and fulfilling it to every detail was truly amazing. That reminded us He is Lord over time and kingdoms. It also amazed us to understand how he used all kinds of different and difficult circumstances to bring out His glory.
When we refer to the “challenging” part, that implies two areas: the intellect and the spirit. The information was deep and it also came in a large volume. The homework required 100% brain implication. But when that information made its way down, from the brain to the heart, the joy of discovering and understanding greatly surpassed the effort.
A truth that impacted us strongly was that one cannot live with integrity unless he/she consciously decides that. We are to make a decision every day whether we mingle with the world, or we stand differently. Thankfully, we are never alone in the fire!
I pray we remain firm in our faith until all prophecies are fulfilled and we meet our precious Lord, face to face, running our race with integrity, forgetting what is behind us and fixing our eyes on the Perfecter of our salvation.
