DASNY is a member of the REDI commission and will be playing an active role in administering a large number of the grants being awarded to municipalities in support of this initiative. Specifically, of this first round of funding:
The remaining balance in funding will be allocated for homeowner assistance, private businesses, and the regional dredging effort that will benefit all eight counties.
In addition, the Governor announced the REDI commission will hold an implementation conference in Albany on November 20 to provide funding recipients with information about project implementation, and opportunities to meet with relevant state agencies and authorities, including DASNY.
