The 2025 Teach Children to Save Day instructional video is now available. Teaching Pro, Judy Austin, from the Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship, provides step-by-step instruction and helpful tips to make this year's lesson fun and memorable for the students and you, too! This year’s lesson is taken from the new comic book The Great Investo and Penny in The Savings Genie, and introduces the new character of The Mystical Saveroo! Fair Lend Workshop for Community Banks - April 2nd
Limited Spots available! Join us for this special 2-hour class and workshop for community bankers to explore the requirements and the environment for Fair Lending standards. We will discuss the basic requirements that all community banks must demonstrate, beginning with the Fair Lending risk assessment process. We will also review policy, training, application and underwriting processes. We will analyze the inter-related Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B) and Fair Housing Act. We will share common errors, audit exceptions and exam findings to highlight potential gaps.
Audience: This workshop will be advantageous to anyone with hands-on responsibilities for Fair Lending and/or Community Reinvestment Act compliance as well as those handling loan adverse actions and loan exceptions. This can include loan officers, loan processors responsible for denials and/or second review, compliance officers, and auditors.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia announced the appointment of three new members to its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC).
Kelly Botti, president and chief executive officer of TruMark Financial Credit Union; Gregory T. Hayes, president and chief executive officer of Kish Bank and Kish Bancorp, Inc.; and Tarrie Miller, president and chief operating officer of County Bank; began three-year terms on the CDIAC in March 2025.
Tarrie Miller has more than four decades of experience in financial services and joined County Bank, headquartered in Rehoboth Beach, DE, in 2013. Miller is vice president of the Harry K Foundation Executive Board and a member of the Delaware Cash Management Policy Board. She is also a past chair of the Delaware Bankers Association and a member of the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council.

| | The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite each managed to break a four-week streak of losses last week, though weekly gains were marginal at 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively. The S&P 500 remained 7.8% off its February 19 high as of last Friday’s close. Energy, Financials, and Healthcare led the week while Communication Services, Technology, and Consumer Discretionary are the only S&P 500 sectors in the red year-to-date (YTD). European Equities were essentially flat last week, though the MSCI Europe Index’s 13.4% YTD gain well-outpaces that of the S&P 500 (-3.6%). In U.S. economic news, the Federal Reserve (Fed) held its policy rate unchanged at 4.25-4.50% last week, in line with expectations. Their updated quarterly Summary of Economic Projections featured 11 of 19 committee members expecting two interest rate cuts in 2025, down from 15 in December. | | CTA Significantly Amended by Interim Final Rule | | On March 21, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) submitted an interim final rule (IFR) to the Federal Register, regarding the beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA).
