Barclays US Consumer Bank Announces Lili Tomovich As Chief Marketing Officer
Barclays US Consumer Bank today announced the appointment of Lili Tomovich as its new Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Tomovich will oversee brand, customer experience and lifecycle management, marketing technology, product marketing, marketing communications, and customer and market research. She will report to Denny Nealon, CEO of Barclays US Consumer Bank, and join the consumer bank's executive committee.

DBA partners with the Federal Reserve on the 2021 Small Business Credit Survey for Delaware small businesses with less than 500 employees
Completing the survey increases policymakers’ understanding of small business conditions at both the national and state levels. It is important for policymakers to understand what small business conditions are like in Delaware to make decisions and legislation related to the small business sector.

Taking the "Grrr" Out of Grammar: October 27th
Surveys show that 80% of those in the business world tend to say, “Grr!” a lot when editing a document. Participants will enjoy working with practical grammar and punctuation rules that help them do so more quickly and easily. Some topics for avoiding grammar glitches include subject-verb agreement, verb tense, misplaced as well as dangling modifiers, parallel structure, sentence structure, and pronoun case. Also included are the latest rules to help participants eliminate punctuation pitfalls while mastering commas, semicolons, and colons. Then, others won’t be likely to say, “Grr!” about the written or edited documents they receive.

McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler LLC partner Jennifer Smith and associate Jeremy Riley co-authored an article addressing some of the tools available under Delaware law, that can be utilized by people with diminished capacity to plan ahead for incapacity and control decisions with respect to their health and property after they are no longer able to make those decisions for themselves. 

In addition to examining ​estate planning tools for people that may develop dementia, Smith’s and Riley’s article also addresses the legal standards applied in determining whether and when a person has capacity to create estate planning instruments and when such instruments become effective.
