Bank of America Private Bank Market Minute

Heading into the final week of September, major equity indexes like the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P 500 are all facing consecutive monthly declines. For the S&P 500 (-2.9%) and the Nasdaq Composite (-3.6%), it was the worst weekly decline since March. While the S&P 500 recorded its largest one-day loss in six months last Thursday, yields surged to decade-plus highs—the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond rose to the highest level since 2011, as the 10-year Treasury yield settled at 4.49% last Thursday, the highest since 2007. The Federal Reserve (Fed) held interest rates steady last week, while also signaling they expect to keep rates higher further into 2024.

Santora CPA Group Announces Appointment of a New Principal

Santora CPA Group, a Newark-based Certified Public Accounting and Consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Kevin J. Gobeil, CPA has become a Principal in the firm. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Kevin joined SCG full time in May 2013. He received his CPA license from the State of Pennsylvania in January 2013 and the State of Delaware in February 2016. Kevin is a key member of SCG’s Tax Department, as well as a member of the American Institute and Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Cinnaire Awarded $60 Million in New Markets Tax Credits from US Treasury Department to Advance Social Impact Efforts


Cinnaire has been awarded a $60 million New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund). These tax credits incentivize private sector investors to partner in community financing efforts.

 

Cinnaire plans to focus its allocation of the award to fund projects that support education, vocational training, and job opportunities across its footprint. Since 2009, Cinnaire is a 10-time recipient of this federal allocation with awards totaling more than $534 million.
