Save The Dates!!

NMTAW - National Massage Therapy Awareness Week
For the first time, the AMTA DC Chapter is co-sponsoring the Massage Team for Team Fisher House at the 2019 Marine Corps Marathon. Chapter members have been volunteering for this annual event for 10 years and this year the race falls on the week of National Massage Therapy Awareness Week. So, what better way to show our community the spirit of giving healing work to others willing to train and run for an incredible charity, the Fisher House Foundation.

Join us for a few hours or the entire day. Awesome people! Great Charity! Amazing Swag(t-shirt, backpack, jacket). And, you are also invited to the Foundation's famed Saturday night (10/26)Team dinner at the Key Bridge Marriott. Click below and register to volunteer today!

Position Statement with the Assembly of Delegates
The Assembly of Delegates (AOD) is a group of elected chapter members whose purpose is to represent the massage therapy profession in the AOD and related activities as they pertain to the profession in their state.

The Delegates to the AMTA National for the DC Chapter will share your questions, comments, and concerns at the 2nd annual Assembly of Delegates Meeting on October 23rd at the 2019 AMTA National Convention in Indianapolis, IN.

You will be receiving an email very shortly that will provide you with a summary of the content of the proposed 2019 position statement and the discussion topics that have been proposed to AMTA National for discussion, as well as a short survey in which you can voice your opinions and concerns. The AOD will review, discuss and submit recommendations to the National Board of Directors on Oct 23.

Reading and completing the form takes only 10 minutes of your time for your valuable input.  Check your inbox for the email and please complete the form by October 15th.

If you have questions, please check the AMTA website, email us at amtac.massage@gmail.com or contact any of us on the DC Chapter Board, including Delegates, and we will be happy to answer your questions.

We look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully seeing you at the 2019 AMTA Convention!

Be Well,
The DC AMTA Board and Delegates
