Notice: DC DMV Operating Status Changes

Dear WANADA Members,

I wanted to make you aware that the District of Columbia DMV is changing their operation structure in response to COVID-19. According to this release published earlier today, all dealer transactions with the DC DMV will be completed via mail or through drop-offs at the DC DMV Southwest Service Center. This is in effect through at least March 31, 2020.

The Southwest Service Center is located at 95 M Street NW Washington, D.C. 20024. In addition, the District says they will halt all "same-day" Dealer Window service at the Southwest Service Center, and that the processing turnaround time for dealer transactions will be seven business days.

I recommend that you read the full memo for additional details around the DC DMV's service modifications. Among the other details of note is the fact that, until at least March 31, the aforementioned DMV facility in Southwest will be the only service center operating in the city, and all in-person services are by appointment only.

You may contact dcdmvdealerinfo@dc.gov with any questions about this notice. And as always, please feel free to reach out to me at jod@wanada.org, or Joe Koch at jk@wanada.org if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

John O'Donnell
