New York City and American life post-World War II and into the turbulent 1960s were a prolific time for Garry Winogrand, who became famous for his photographs of everyday people on the street as well as actors and politicians. Winogrand worked continuously until his sudden death in the mid-80s, leaving behind more than 6,000 roles of undeveloped work. This will be the first retrospective in 25 years for the Bronx-born photographer, with more than 175 of his images, including many unseen prints.
