PROMOTING CHILDREN'S LITERACY
Read our March Blog by Olivia Tubaro
"In an era where students are growing up in front of screens, it’s important that students feel as connected to books as they do to digital media. Students need access to impactful and immersive stories that ensure their love for reading is not lost over time.

Lifelong reading fosters critical thinking and analytical skills that students need to navigate the world – both inside and outside the classroom."

AMERICORPS WEEK
Thank You to Our Team
We would like to thank our current AmeriCorps volunteers, Lindsay and Olivia, and the AmeriCorps program for supporting DCAN's commitment to Detroit students and families.

AmeriCorps allows DCAN to expand its capacity and explore as many services we can provide as possible.

Keep an eye on our social media this week as we highlight our current and past AmeriCorps volunteers.
