The Driving Clean Assistance Program (DCAP), offers two pathways to getting into your new clean air vehicle. Both pathways offer down-payment assistance in the form of upfront grants that are paid directly to the dealerships and do not need to be paid back.


With DCAP you receive more than just the funding to get into a clean air vehicle, you also receive financial coaching, counseling, and access to fair financing options.

Manteca EV Expo

The Driving Clean Assistance Program joined the Manteca EV Expo on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 to kick off National Drive Electric Week.


Attendees convened on the Manteca Bass Pro Shop parking lot and had the opportunity to connect with local electric vehicle enthusiasts, dealerships, enjoy a vehicle showcase, as well as test drive a variety of clean air vehicle offerings including Tesla and Fiat.

Community Partner Spotlight: CCAC 


Through education, direct services, and policy advocacy, Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC) focuses on preventing and managing chronic diseases to build healthier communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley.


We are proud to join forces with CCAC as a trusted community partner that will bring DCAP to the residents throughout the San Joaquin Valley.


CCAC has English and Spanish staff members ready to help participants successfully complete their application online.

Eligibility and Requirements

Who is Eligible?


Eligible applicants for DCAP must be California residents, and income qualified, which means having an income at, or below, 300% Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

What Cars are Eligible?


Vehicles that are BEV, PHEV, FCEV, or ZEM must be purchased from a franchise dealer, dealer that is a member of the Credit Union Direct Lending platform, or through a DCAP broker.
