MOC Breakfast and Blood Drive
Saturday October 19, 2024, 8:30 am
Breakfast at 8:30 am - all are invited (men, women and families)
Blood Drive Begins at 9:00 am
Our guest speaker on Saturday will be Coast Chorale Conductor and DCC Pianist Dan McElrath.
The Men of the Church are hosting a pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 for all families. Donations are accepted. The Blood Drive will be held in the CONFERENCE ROOM from 9:00 to 12:00. The Gulf Coast is in critical need of blood at this time. We encourage all who are able to plan to give life-saving blood to others in need. Your gift of one unit of blood can save up to eight lives. Bring your children or grandchildren and set an example for them. Jesus gave his life’s blood. Can you spare just a few minutes of your time and a little bit of your life-sustaining blood to help others?"
Please sign up by clicking on the link below or on the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.

"Wired" Sundays 5:00- 6:30 p.m.
Our theme this year is “Under Construction” (our key verse):
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.
Sundays at 5 p.m., this year's theme, "Under Construction," will be introduced through music, games, food, and activities. Each Sunday night from 5 to 6:30, the kids will engage in small group activities (age-graded) and then a combined group where scripture, music notation, and singing skills are taught. If you want your children, grandchildren, or even kids in the neighborhood to learn about Jesus and worship, contact Music Director Lisa Whipps and bring them to Sunday nights at DCC!

Update on
Our DCC Prayer Chain
from Mrs. Ruthie O' Neil
Baby Aurora has been on our church’s prayer chain several times this past year.
Her grandparents are Carole and Gary Griffin of Diamondhead.
See below for an update from Aurora’s mother whose family is so grateful for our prayers.
An update on our precious Aurora:
We celebrated her first birthday on October 11th with family and friends. This past year has been filled with challenges and triumphs. In her first year of life, she has undergone three catheter procedures and one major open-heart surgery, spending a total of 218 days in the hospital. Despite everything, she has shown incredible bravery and resilience. Born at just 4lbs 11oz, Aurora has fought through each hurdle with a strength that amazes us every day. Now at 16lbs, she continues to thrive with the help of physical and eating therapy. Her progress is a testament to her determination and the unwavering support of our family and friends.

Aurora Update Continued...
We are beyond proud to be her parents, guiding her and showering her with love on this journey. Though the road ahead may still be long, we believe that with God by our side, all things are possible. Psalm 23 reminds us of God's guidance and protection, assuring us that He is with us through both peaceful and challenging times.
Our little Aurora has already come so far, and we have faith that she will continue to overcome every obstacle with courage and grace. We are grateful for each moment we share with her and look forward to many more milestones ahead.
Thank you,
Leighann and Joshua Kannenberg
