We hope this email finds you enjoying the first week of school! We are thrilled to kick off the start of the 2024-2025 school year and we have some exciting updates to share.

Thank you again for your patience as we update and finalize scheduling during the first week of school. Home Access Center (HAC) provides access to each student's respective schedule. For schedule change requests, please complete this form. Please do not send emails directly to staff. For HAC username and/or or password resets, please complete this form. Our reception team will get back to you with next steps. 

There are new entrances for morning drop off for middle and high school students and breakfast locations this school year. 

• Middle school students: Enter through Aspen Street lobby; breakfast in G6 cafe
• High school students: Enter through main cafe doors until 9 a.m and Main Drive door after 9 a.m.; breakfast in main cafe

Get ready for exciting after-school opportunities! ACE Club Registration for the Fall 2024 Trimester will open on Wednesday, September 4th at 12:00 p.m. The ACE office will send out an email at that time to remind you that registration is open and available. 

FALL ACE starts on Monday, September 9th. If you have not confirmed or set up your account on CommunityPass now is the time to do so! If you click this link and are unable to login, please email acedci@dcinternationalschool.org for assistance. 

ACE Club Discounts for families who receive Free and Reduced Lunch will only go into effect if you have filled out your FARMS forms and they have been approved by our Reception Team. Please take care of that now so the discounts can apply! Email reception@dcinternationalschool.org if you need copies or have any questions.

If you are a high school student and you love to sing, dance, act, build, paint, design or simply love ABBA, check out the fall musical information session tomorrow, August 30 from 1:20 - 2:00 p.m near the gym in room 1D02.

Quick Reminders:

• New Learning Management System: We're transitioning from ManageBac to Toddle. This system will help manage student assignments, grades, IB requirements, and learning portfolios. Please reference this one-pager for more information. Please Note: Google Classroom will still be used at the beginning of the school year, but will transition to Toddle during the first quarter (October 25).



• Attendance Reporting: We're implementing SafeArrival, a new system that will allow guardians to easily report absences and provide reasons for all their children in one simple communication on September 3.
