Dear DCI School Community,

As we prepare to close out 2024, we want to take a moment to thank each of you for your readership, partnership and incredible dedication you’ve shared with DCI this year. 

These past couple of weeks have been especially joyful! We hosted our first virtual information session with prospective families where we shared all things unique to DCI and some of our families generously provided a holiday spread for our teachers and staff last Friday for all to enjoy. You and your students make DCI so special and we appreciate your energy and willingness to share your DCI story with friends and family this holiday season. 

As we enter 2025, we look forward to continuing our engagements and partnership with you – we want to provide DCI resources and information that are most beneficial to you and your families. Please continue to share your thoughts and suggestions on how we can keep you up to date with the happenings here at DCI.

*As a reminder, there will be no after-school care, ACE or athletic events on Friday, December 20th at DCI. All students are expected to leave campus by 1:30 p.m.

DCI will be closed December 23rd through January 3rd with classes resuming on Monday, January 6th.

Save the Date: 8th Grade High School Night January 8th

Calling all DCI 8th grade families! Join us on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 6pm - 7:30pm for refreshments and a presentation about all that DCI High School has to offer. We will be discussing the curriculum, culture, extracurricular activities, and how to set your students up for success as they prepare for life after high school. There will be presentations from the IB team, the College and Career team, and the Leadership team on what high school will look like next year for your 8th grade student. This will be an opportunity to get all of your questions answered and start to discuss options for your student’s high school experience. RSVP here to join us by Monday, January 6th!

Save the Date: MYP Arts Winter Showcase on Jan. 16th

You are invited to Experience the Arts at DCI with our MYP Arts Winter Showcase taking place on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on the 1st + 2nd Floors. The Arts Winter Showcase celebrates the contributions of our students as artists in our community exhibiting artwork from all students in MYP 1, 3 and 5 in drawing, painting, sculpture, murals, film and music! See you there!

Save the Date: DCI Blood Drive on Jan. 16th

DCI has been participating in hosting a Blood Drive for the past two years and has saved over 200 lives with blood donations. This year we are hosting our largest Blood Drive in DCI History! We wish to invite all 16+ year olds, staff, administration, and faculty members to help DCI Save Lives! The blood drive takes place on Thursday, January 16, 2025 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Theater.
