Dear DCI School Community,

As a school community, we always want to be clear and transparent about any communication we share. The Dispatch is one channel that we use to share information and we want to repost a safety update that was sent this morning to all staff, families and our community. Please click here to read the full message. We are so grateful to our staff and students for their efforts in keeping our community safe.

Today is officially the first day of spring and as we enter into this new season, we also begin our celebrations and milestones. We are starting to gear up for spring break (April 14-18), with testing, promotions and graduation also on the horizon. To kick off the season, we will be celebrating our annual La Soirée Francophone tomorrow, Friday, March 21st – our third cultural celebration aligned with our three language tracks and “language at the core” strategic pillar. Join us from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. for student performances, a runway show, Francophone culinary and cultural tradition displays and, of course, delicious food! We very much value the cultural diversity of our school community and this is just one seasonal opportunity to meet and interact with our French language program and enjoy annual traditions.

Veuillez vous joindre à nous et profiter de la Soirée!

Shout Outs!

Please see below for “shout out” submissions! Thank you for recognizing our teachers and staff!

I would like to shout out Ms. Ali and Ms. Grullon for always keeping the class silent and focused whenever we work. They are one of the best teacher pairs that I have ever experienced when it comes to learning.

I want to shout out Ms. Vivar, she’s so funny and she lets me talk to her about anything going on and gives good advice and just generally has good vibes. She's never mad at anyone or anything she’s just always positive and that’s what we need positivity!!!

Ms. You (phase 1 chinese teacher)

Shout out to Mr. Normeus for being the funniest man alive and never intending to be. He is so incredibly funny at times but when I say this he looks at me blankly before sighing and telling me to go back to work.

Please consider submitting a “shout out” to recognize your students’ teachers and staff. These will be included in each bi-weekly edition of the Dispatch. Your name will be associated with each shout out, or you can choose to shout out anonymously. Thanks!
