Speed, Strategy, and Sustainability: Fueling the Future of
Indiana’s Transportation
By: Nathan Hart, Cary Welsh (ACT News)
With 2026 well underway, the transportation industry finds itself at a pivotal intersection of innovation and economic growth. Nowhere is this more evident than in the upcoming Breakfast of Champions, a premier stakeholder event hosted by Drive Clean Indiana (DCI) on March 11, 2026. Held during the influential NTEA Work Truck Week in Indianapolis, this gathering is more than just a networking breakfast; it is a testament to the optimistic future of “Hoosier Fuels” and the American energy landscape.
A Tradition of Momentum
The event serves as a critical bridge between the accomplishments of the past year and the immense possibilities of the next. In 2025, the industry saw significant strides in clean transportation, and 2026 is poised to accelerate that momentum. By bringing together a diverse audience, including 63% public sector and 37% private sector leaders, DCI is fostering the exact kind of cross-industry collaboration needed to drive economic prosperity. From fleet directors and fuel distributors to mayors and state legislators, the room will be filled with the architects of our sustainable future.
| | | Join Drive Clean Indiana and Dr. Mark Manera as he introduces and discusses Project 61, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and longevity of truck drivers across North America. Project 61 provides free health tools, challenges, and resources designed specifically for life on the road. By meeting drivers where they are and empowering fleets to take action, Project 61 is rewriting the story of health in trucking - one driver, one habit, and one mile at a time. | | | |

Natural gas is a domestically produced alternative fuel that is readily available to end-users through the utility infrastructure. It can produce significantly fewer harmful emissions than gasoline or diesel when used in natural gas vehicles.
Natural gas has a high octane rating and excellent properties for spark-ignited internal combustion engines. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and non-carcinogenic. It presents no threat to soil, surface water, or groundwater.
