Dear Colleagues,
Our 2nd Annual Washington Innovation in Longevity Summit this month was an incredible success! I'd like to extend my gratitude to all of our co-producers, expert speakers, generous sponsors, marketing partners and exhibitors. More than 200 leaders joined us for this two-day gathering and our program included 30 sessions that explored how regulatory challenges and global partnerships are powerful influences for success as economies and societies face the transformative impact of aging populations. Following the Summit, we offered two Learning Journey opportunities! One group visited AARP and the second group visited the National Institute on Aging in Bethesda, Maryland (photo below).
Day 1 of the #DCInnovate Summit focused on national investment opportunities, reimbursement and regulatory trends. Keynote speaker
Nancy LeaMond kicked off the day by outlining five key issues in aging: Financial Security, Workforce Issues, Independent Living, Caregiving Crunch and Changing the Conversation. Throughout the day, additional expert leaders explored the themes of Money, Media, Memory, Mobility, and Military. We were happy to welcome insights from
Jim Firman,
Mary Beth Franklin,
Sherri Snelling,
Richard Lui,
Bob Blancato, and many more!
Day 2 of the Summit explored the importance of global partnerships and included a Pitch for Distribution competition during which
Linked Senior,
Darmiyan, and
Camanio Care presented their products to a panel of corporate longevity economy leaders (photo below).
We were happy to have
George Vradenburg as a keynote speaker who shared his thoughts on how to talk about the lack of readiness in the U.S. health care system to address the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer's disease. A big thank you to the team from the
Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation who helped shaped this day on global solutions for aging!
Looking forward to seeing you this March at the 2nd Annual What's Next Canada Summit and at the 17th Annual What's Next Boomer Business Summit!
Warmly,
