Musical Theater Camp
DCM is excited to announce that we will be holding our first ever Musical Theater camp this summer! Students will learn and perform the musical Aladdin!
We will be hosting guest voice instructor, Elizabeth Holmes. Mrs. Holmes performed opera and musical theater professionally in the Philadelphia area and she is currently a doctoral fellow teaching at Shenandoah University.
Musical Theater Camp is open to ages 7 and up and will be held from July 22-27 with a performance on the last day.

Disney Dance Camps
Dancers ages 3-6 can participate in our Disney Dance Camp held weekday mornings August 5-23.

Choose one, two, or three of the following sessions.
Cost: $185 per session
Session 1: August 5-9
Session 2: August 12-16
Session 3: August 19-23
Each week will have a different theme that includes story time, an informal performance for parents and friends and a chance to meet story book characters.

July Evening Classes
Dancers in Elementary through Advanced and Ballet 1-7 levels can participate in Summer Session evening classes in ballet, modern, and jazz. Evening Classes will be held Monday-Friday from 5:00pm - 7:30pm July 8-26.
One Class:
$300 for 3 weeks, $100/week, $20/evening
Two Classes:
$600 for 3 weeks, $200/week, $40/evening

Ballet Chesapeake
August Workshop
Intermediate and Advanced dancers ages 10 and up in DCM Ballet 4-7 levels can participate in the Ballet Chesapeake August Workshop held weekday evenings August 12th-30th from 4:30-7:30pm.
Guest instructors include Amanda McKerrow, John Gardner, Tony Wilson, Keith Lamelle Thomas, Catherine Horta-Hayden, Rhodie Jorgensen, and Roberto Munoz
Choose one, two, or all three weeks.
Cost (for non BC members): $750 for all three weeks, $250/week, $50/day

Summer Drop In Classes
intermediate/Advanced Students and dancers in Ballet levels 3-6 are invited to participate in drop in classes over the summer when DCM classes aren't in session. All classes are $15 per class, and dancers should sign up at least 24 hours before class time. Drop-in classes will be held from June 11th - July 5th. Class times will be announced soon for July 29th - August 10th!

oin us at our NEW LOCATION in Abingdon for Dance Conservatory of Maryland's Open House! Guests will enjoy refreshments, a look at our space, meet our faculty and staff, and learn more about our program. Register in person and the $30 registration fee will be waived.

Class Placements
Every dancer who was registered at DCM for the Spring 2019 session should have received an email on June 12th with the DCM Fall 2019 schedule and the dancer's individual class placements for the Fall Session. Please contact the DCM office if you do not have this information or if you have any questions. New students are encouraged to attend a placement class between July 8-26.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

NHSDA Ensemble
Dancers in middle and high school are invited to participate in the NHSDA Ensemble at DCM. This group of dancers will rehearse once per week with DCM faculty and will have exciting performing opportunities, master classes, and field trips throughout the year.
|

Nutcracker Auditions
Ballet Chesapeake will be holding Nutcracker Auditions at DCM on Saturday, September 14th from 4-5:30pm.
Boys and Girls ages 6 and up are invited to audition for Ballet Chesapeake's annual Nutcracker. Dancers selected will be cast for various children's roles including Angels, Soldiers, Mice, Mother Ginger, Confections and Elves. Please arrive 30 minutes early for registration and come prepared to dance.

Swan Lake Auditions
We are excited to announce that Ballet Chesapeake will be performing Swan Lake at Stephens Hall Theatre on April 4th-5th, 2020!
Ballet Chesapeake will be holding Swan Lake Auditions at DCM on Sunday, January 5th from 12:30-2:30pm.
Boys and Girls ages 6 and up are invited to audition for various children's roles within the ballet. Please arrive 30 minutes early for registration and come prepared to dance.

All DCM dancers in Ballet 1 and up, Elementary through Advanced levels, and Pre Ballet are invited to perform in our June Concert to finish off the 2019-2020 school year!
