Looking Toward this Sunday July 16, 2017

Scripture: Proverbs 2: 1-8
                2 Timothy 3: 14-17
Sermon: The People's Choice: "If we don't read scripture literally, why is the Bible important?"

Mary Margaret Porter will preach at 8:30 and 9:45 in Lingle Chapel and at 11 in the sanctuary.

The Bible is rich with epic stories, poetry, history and law. But what does scripture mean for us now, today? Is it still relevant? How much of the Bible should we take literally? And if we don't why not? This Sunday we will wrestle with these questions as we approach the Word of God as we read it in the Bible.

Deb and Bob Cameron will sing Down By the Riverside at the 8:30 service.
The Summer Choir with Sue Britton, piano, will sing We Will Praise You  at the 11 service.
