Middle School
Asheville Youth Mission
July 10-15
Our 6th-8th graders are headed to the mountains this summer to serve with Youth Mission Co., a local youth-oriented service ministry. Middle schoolers will return home with a new perspective on people at the margins and God's call for us to love them. Get more info and register by clicking here.

Montreat Youth Conference
July 24-30
Also headed to the mountains this summer are our high schoolers! We're returning to the Montreat Youth Conference for a week of keynote, recreation, worship, and Christian community. This summer's theme is "More Than Enough." Get more info and register by clicking here.
Worship with your church family this Sunday! There is one worship service this Sunday at 11 am in the sanctuary (and followed by a churchwide picnic). Worship is also streamed on YouTube and Facebook.
Join us during the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45 am) for Screen & Scripture, our intergenerational film-based class in the Youth Lounge.
Youth Group for 6th-12th grade is happening too, see below for details.
To get us ready for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, we're switching up Screen & Scripture to watch a scene from the original Star Wars, make some connections between the scene and scripture, and taking a look behind the scenes at how some of the special effects were created. We would be honored if you would join us 9:45-10:45 am in the Youth Lounge!
6tTH & 7TH GRADE YOUTH GROUP
We're wrapping up our series on prayer called Direct Message with some brain science and practical ways to pray confidently. We meet in the Youth Lounge this Sunday 6:30-7:30 pm.
8TH GRADERS
Confirmands are meeting with the Session this Sunday 5-6 and then climbing the steeple and celebrating with dinner 6-7:30 pm. We're appreciative of all their hard work and excited to see them joining us as members of the Church on May 8th!
9TH & 10TH GRADERS
This one is going to be a little bit different as 9th & 10th graders will be part of the planning and leadership for confirmands to help welcome them into the Church. We'll work on that plan plus some wrap up to Thoughts & Prayers. That's 6:30-7:30 pm.
11TH & 12TH GRADERS
Juniors and seniors are going on the road to the Merrifield's house (18626 Rollingdale Ln
Davidson, NC 28036) for dinner and conversation about Sticky Faith, our series on life and faith after high school! They're meeting 6-7:30 pm. Could you hit reply and send an RSVP so we can get a count for food please?
SPRING & SUMMER READING
All of our family habits and rhythms were totally blown up by the pandemic and now that we're coming out of it (knock knock), what does it take to rebuild life-giving, faithful habits again? These are the questions we want to invite you to consider as we get ready for the next school year and we have two books to help you start thinking about it. Atomic Habits is based on the latest research about how to form good habits and break bad ones while You Are What You Love looks at the spiritual aspect of habits and how they interact with who and what we love (and is one of Matt's favorite books).
STILL COLLECTING BRAVERY BADGES
Last September 8th grader Libby Slosson started collecting colorful and fun Band-Aids to donate to children's hospitals so that kids who are getting their blood drawn or shots could get a Band-Aid that brightens their day. That collection is still going! Drop off Band-Aids with characters, colors, and patterns in the bin on the porch of the Congregation House to contribute.
