We have a lot to be thankful for!
Going to channel Jimmy Fallon for a minute and share a bit of what I'm thankful for today on this Thanksgiving Eve:
  • Thank you to all the youth who give this ministry a reason to exist and who encourage us with your presence and challenge us to keep asking what we can be doing next to equip you for a brighter future.
  • Thank you to all the parents who partner with us and entrust your kids to us on Sunday nights or even entire weekends. And thank you for raising such great kids on top of that!
  • Thank you to the volunteers who make all of what we do possible, from small groups to dinner to everyone being greeted with a smile to summer and weekend trips to setting the direction and vision for our ministry. It's a huge undertaking that's made manageable by so many amazing people with big hearts.
  • And finally, thank you to God for the mysterious ways that we are all brought together and combined and connected into Christ's Church and that we exist for and with each other here on this corner of the Kingdom.
We are taking our first total night off of the fall this coming Sunday and that means no Youth Group or Confirmation. If you are looking for something to do with your Sunday, check out some Advent resources (see below) and/or sing along with Youth Music (also below).

The Lux Summer Theological Institute for Youth is a two-week opportunity for high school students to engage pertinent topics in theological inquiry, learn new modes of worship and spiritual practice, participate in service, experience interfaith activities, and explore their vocation. This summer they will be focusing on environmental justice. Click here to get more info and hit reply to let me know if you are interested.
We're not quite ready to spill all the beans yet, but Youth Ministry Committee has a plan in place to begin a Sunday School class for youth and anyone else middle school-aged or older starting on January 5th, 2020. Stay tuned for more details!
