Be ready to save a life this July 4th. Naloxone (NARCAN®) can save the life of someone suffering an overdose, and is available free and without a prescription across the District.

The DC Department of Behavioral Health and DC Health have observed an increase in overdoses on holiday weekends and encourage everyone to have naloxone on hand.

If your organization has a standing order to distribute naloxone and you need more naloxone, please reach out to Malachi Stewart (Malachi.Stewart@dc.gov) and Ryan Forte (Ryan.Forte@dc.gov). If your organization does not have a standing order to distribute naloxone, you can contact Sari Frankel (Sari.Frankel@dc.gov) so you can distribute naloxone in the future.

You can get free Text to Live materials to distribute by submitting an order here. Text to Live is always an option to get naloxone for individual use.

Sessions take place from 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET:
Part 1: Alcohol, HIV, and HCV – Wednesday, July 7
Part 2: Opioids, HIV, and HCV – Wednesday, September 8
Part 3: Stimulants, HIV, and HCV – Wednesday, October 13
