Smith Center Trainings for Patient Navigation and Cancer Care
As part of Smith Center's 25th Anniversary Conversation series, we will be featuring Smith Centers' innovative Integrative Patient Navigation training program and services on Monday evening, June 14, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm ET. Anyone interested in finding out more about how to identify resources for navigating the cancer journey, in particular to locate those programs and services that may be outside the medical care setting (e.g., yoga, meditation, creativity, acupuncture, spiritual counseling, support groups, etc.) and often located in the larger community, should consider attending this informative session.
On June 16, from 6 - 7:30 pm ET, Smith Center will host the 6th in its series of Did You Know? presentations on behavioral practices that have health benefits for cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones. This next topic will address the topic of Expressing Oneself. The speakers for this will include Dr. James Pennebaker from the University of Texas and renowned expert on the health impacts of expressive writing.
