October is Breast Cancer and Liver Cancer Awareness Month
Cancer screening saves lives. American Cancer Society and Genentech created a new cancer screening quick reference guide entitled Cancer Screening 101 that you can share with your patients.
Today, liver cancer is the sixth most common cause of cancer death among Americans. Genentech has developed a patient-centered campaign to help address disparities in liver cancer screening rates. This disease education effort is a call to action for patients to discuss with their providers the risk factors associated with liver cancer, and if appropriate, seek out regular screening. You can find more information about liver cancer, risk factors and screening information at https://www.againstlivercancer.com/
