On behalf of all of us here at DCPCA, thank you for all that you are doing to respond to the COVID-19 emergency. Your work is saving lives. We have postponed many of our trainings given new demands on health center staff. We are sending a separate weekly COVID-19 newsletter to our members with resources (including upcoming COVID-19 trainings and meetings) to inform clinical and operational decisions. If you need any support, please reach out to our team at communications@dcpca.org and we can direct you to a PCA staff person who can provide the appropriate response.

Training Curriculum: the weekly training topics and learning objectives. here
Training Overview: Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is a collaborative model of medical education and care management that empowers clinicians everywhere to provide better care to more people, right where they live. The ECHO model does not actually “provide” care to patients. Instead, it dramatically increases access to specialty treatment in underserved areas by providing front-line clinicians with the knowledge and support they need to manage patients with complex conditions. This forum is a community of learning for complex diabetes management to have brief lectures (15-30 minutes), and case-based discussions about your complex diabetes patients. These sessions will be guided by specialists from the University of Washington and local NCA experts.
Target Audience: Primary care providers and all members of the primary care team in all practice settings who provide front-line care for high-risk individuals with diabetes. Project ECHO® programs result in improved patient retention, better patient outcomes, and enhanced joy in work among providers. This CE/CME activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ by Continuing Professional Education, MedStar Health.
