Training Overview:
The development of comprehensive and user-friendly Healthcare Emergency and Continuity Plan (HCECP) is of vital importance to health centers for emergency preparedness. Health centers must be prepared to continually meet patient care responsibilities in the face of a major disaster as well as during small, routine disruptions. BOLDplanning's Emergency Continuity Plan (ECP) software has been selected to assist with the development of these HCECPs for DCPCA-member health centers. In workshop #1, BOLDplanning will train health center staff on the use of the software tool and health center's will review the first draft of their facility-level plans that have been set up by BOLDplanning using health center's information.
Who Should Attend:
- Emergency Preparedness Task Force Members
- Any DCPCA-member health center operations and administrative staff involved in emergency preparedness

- The same workshop will be held on two days: September 11th and 12th. Please select the date that works best for your team.

Training Overview:
In recognition of National Preparedness Month, DCPCA will be hosting a critical training to advance emergency preparedness capacity for our health centers. The National Ebola Training and Education Center (NETEC) will be providing a training on use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
PPE is equipment worn to minimize exposure to workplace injuries and illnesses.This is a “train-the-trainer” model so attendees will receive the information they need to train others at their organization on appropriate use of PPE.
Who Should Attend:
- This training is mandatory for health centers to receive free PPE for their organizations. At least one representative from each health center organization must attend this training to receive PPE.
- Attendance is recommended for EPTF members as well as staffers that direct or manage infection

- Training is free and only available to DCPCA member health centers.

Project ECHO is a group learning system designed for clinicians to learn from specialists and from each other to widen the scope of practice and improve quality. More simply, this will be a virtual classroom with an expert panel focused on MAT. ECHO sessions will include case consultation, collaborative learning, and knowledge share. The ECHO model™ breaks down the walls between specialty and primary care. It links expert specialist teams at an academic ‘hub’ with primary care clinicians in local communities - the 'spokes' of the model. Think virtual grand rounds, combined with mentoring and patient case presentations. Free E-Learning Behavioral Intervention for Improving MAT Outcomes
|

SAMHSA-sponsored Provider Clinical Support Services released a free e-learning program for health professionals,
Behavioral Interventions for MAT: Improving Outcomes
. It provides information on four evidence-based practices that effectively treat the behavioral aspects of addiction in conjunction with MAT. Participants are eligible to receive continuing education credits upon successful completion of the program.
