Congratulations To Davis Young Author Winners
Congratulations to these Davis Elementary Students for winning the Young Authors contest at the school level. Lily Ballard was selected as the winner for the district level. To see additional pictures of the students, click HERE.
Dade Elementary's Damien Chang Takes 1st Place
Dade Elementary Student's recently participated in the Young Author's writing competition. Fourth grade student Damien Chang took 1st place. Damien is pictured here with: Principal Tracy Blevins; Fourth Grade Teacher Bethany Miller; Fourth Grade Teacher Denise Lewis. Congratulations to Damien Chang on a job well done!
DCHS Students Take Part In NASA HUNCH Project
These DCHS Students are currently part of the NASA HUNCH program and are working together to make a galley table for the astronauts at the International Space Station. Once they finish designing each part, they will bring them all together in an assembly. Mr. Wilson will help check their dimensions and tolerances and NASA will soon authorize a test print. After the test has been measured and confirmed, they will move to the final printing process for use on the International Space Station. For more information on the NASA HUNCH program, click HERE.
DES Oratorial Contest Winners
Fear of public speaking hasn’t stopped these DES students from participating in the DES Optimist Club's Oratorical Competition! Congratulations to Vayda Crisp who received the Character Education Award from Mrs. Rhiannon York’s 3rd-grade class for demonstrating the character trait HUMILITY!
