As we enter a new year, the weather forecast can often impact the opening, closing, and/or the delaying of school. The safety of our students and staff remains the top priority when making weather-related, school decisions. While it is our goal to make these decisions the evening before, the final decision may not be made until the early morning hours as weather conditions in the higher elevations can vary from the valley areas. After making our decision, we will communicate the information through the Infinite Campus messaging system, post it on the DCS website and social media platforms, and notify local media outlets. We encourage you to make sure that your contact information is current with the school(s) so that you will receive notifications from the messaging system.
