On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, DCHS, along with Alliance For Dade, hosted a career fair for the Class of 2022. Over thirty employers from around the area were on-site and available to speak with students. We are currently seeking feedback from the employers and making plans for next year. DCS would like to thank the Alliance For Dade and the employers for making this possible for our students.
DCHS students Cassidy Klitzke, Sidney Jones, and Jack Dupree were overwhelmingly nominated by their teachers for the Governor's Honors Program 2022. This esteemed program is promoted yearly by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement for rising juniors and seniors. Over 3,200 students were nominated to the state-level competition, with over 1,300 of them selected as semifinalists for state interviews/auditions. We are extremely proud of our nominees and the work they have demonstrated throughout their high school careers thus far. They have displayed a high aptitude and great character which will lead them far in their future.
