Dewalt Representative Visits DCHS
The DCHS Construction Trades Program has been growing and received a CRE grant last year allowing them to purchase new equipment. Recently, April Bilek, a Dewalt representative for Lowe's, stopped by the school and dropped off an assortment of items as a gift to the program. To read more, click HERE. DCS Visual Arts Host Art Show At DCHS
The Dade County Schools visual arts teachers sponsored an art show at DCHS on Saturday May 8th. The theme for the 2021 Art Show was Asian Fusion. We would like to thank Ms. Brand Gann and Ms. Heidi Wilson for organizing this event. To see more pictures of the event, click HERE.
DCS Chorus Performs Spring Musical
The DCS Chorus led by Ms. Gabrielle Haston held an outdoor event at the New Salem Community Center last Thursday. Students from both DMS and DCHS participated in the spring concert. Congratulations to the students and Ms. Haston for an excellent performance!
DCS Bands To Host Spring Concert This Week
The DCS Bands will host their annual spring concert this Tuesday, May 11th. The DMS Concert Band will perform from 6PM to 7PM and the DCHS Concert Band will begin after DMS. DCHS Track & Field Athletes Qualify For State
Congratulations to DCHS Students, Stella Henry and Ian Byrd. They qualified at Sectionals on Saturday and will advance to the state competition. Stella qualified in two events, the 100m dash and 300m hurdles. She took first place in the 300m hurdles with a personal best time of 47.51 seconds. Ian placed 5th in the pole vault with a jump of 12’, which was also a personal best for him. Good luck to Stella and Ian as they advance to state!

DCHS Graduation Information
Dade County High School will host graduation on Friday, May 28th at 7PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions being lifted, there are no limitations on the number of family members students may invite. The event will be held at Magic Morgan Stadium and visitors will be permitted to sit on either side of the stadium bleachers. Policies Available For Public Comment
The Dade County Board of Education has four policies available for public comment. The policies are: BCBI: Public Participation in Board Meetings; DFK: Gifts and Bequests; DIB: Financial Reports; and JBCB: Nonresident Students. If you would like to provide feedback on any one of the four policies, please visit the Simbli / E-Board website and click on the link for each policy listed under the Pending Documents tab. The public may review each one of the policies and provide comments on each. After completing the required fields, the submit option will be available so that the Dade County Board of Education may review the feedback for each policy currently in the 'pending status.'
